As a Certified Cicerone® and BJCP judge, I’ve dedicated myself to exploring beer’s incredible diversity, history, and sensory experience. Currently, I’m working toward becoming an Advanced Cicerone® while sharing my journey with others.
The Beerfection Standard
There is more beer in the world than any single liver can handle. To help you navigate the landscape and find the jewels among the rest, I follow a strict sensory protocol for every review:
- Consistent Conditions: I only evaluate beers at home with a systematic approach. I do not write a review if my senses are off because integrity matters.
- Technical Context: Each entry includes canning dates, serving temperatures, and specific glassware to ensure a professional and repeatable evaluation.
- Sensory Breakdown: Every beer is scored on a 100-point scale, deconstructing the appearance, aroma, flavour, and mouthfeel to separate the grain from the husk.
